Chick’s Shoes and Service was opened in 1949 on Mercer Island by Chick Tabit, a third generation cobbler who learned the trade from his father and grandfather. Today the shop is run by the fourth and fifth generation of the Tabit family and has widened the scope of the business to offer pedorthic and orthopedic services in addition to the retail shop full of comfortable shoes.
